Small-press publishing means you don’t need an agent and can submit your manuscript yourself. Small presses are often willing to take on a wider range of literary work, from the experimental to the personal, and they offer payment via advances and royalties. Plus, unlike self-publishing, you won’t have to do it alone!
If you’ve had success publishing your work with literary magazines but are wondering what to do next, this webinar is for you. Publishing a chapbook (usually under 50 pages) can be a stepping stone toward publishing a full-length collection or an end goal in itself. Determining how to organize and publish your first book or chapbook can be overwhelming. Still, Bethany Jarmul will demystify the process and offer practical steps you can take to develop and achieve your writing and publishing goals. You’ll leave this workshop with a clear strategy for the next season of your writing career—ready to grow from writer to published author!
Whether you’re certain you want to publish a collection with a small press or if you’re just starting to dream about assembling a book, this webinar will give you the information and tools you need to take the next step.
